It\u2019s funny to me how much the world of sports has changed since I was a kid. Grante I\u2019m in the generation that was born before the internet and now scrolls reels while brain rotting on the couch. Needless to say, there\u2019s been a big change throughout all our lives and where it really interests me is in the sports world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Take for instance the 1993 Junior Am tournament that Tiger Woods won. He was a whole different level than any of the other players. First off, he started playing the sport when he was two! Then he had the ideas to play the AJGA events like they were tour stops. Typically, junior golfers would only play in a few AJGA events that were close by ad then only maybe one national event. But Tiger just kept going from AJGA event to another.<\/p>\n\n\n

What I love about once he went pro was to see how his conditioning set himself apart form other players. In addition to that it was eye opening to see how well coached he was. He could hit the driver like Greg Normal, but his short game? The creativity and his rescue shots were reminiscent of Seve Ballesteros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But the final thing that he did was make golf cool. It no longer was social suicide if you were a teenager playing golf. Cool kids do it now. Wild.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even more so now are the indoor golfing businesses that have sprouted up everywhere. And the industry has become serious with bigger facilities and expectations. Have you seen Golfinity<\/a>? It\u2019s some sort of indoor golf performance club. It was started by Aaron Bergman a PGA professional. He took the old concept of renting simulator bays by the hour to developing a full indoor golf experience. There\u2019s coaching, junior development, leagues, and private events all built into the business model. He partnered with this company<\/a>, who also works with tennis, pickleball and padel court booking software.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its seems like all we crave is community, especially since the pandemic. Ad even though I can be a bit grumpy about how the world is developing, I\u2019m grateful for the ability to make and keep friends. On and off the green.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
